Montessori sensory workshop
Workshop to develop sensory receptors for children
The stimulations integrated during the sensory development period will allow your child to build his or her representation of the world.
Your child's cerebral development during the first three years of his or her life takes place thanks to the active experiences that your child does at home or outside.
It is very important from birth to speak to your child, to sing to him or her, to read with him or her and above all to listen to your child.
The brain development must be done in the respect of the sensitive periods which are the order, the sensory refinement, the movement, the language and the development of the social sense.
To develop well the sensory refinement, we therefore offer you a small workshop that you can do with your child and which does not require special equipment.
Equipment :
- Playmat
- Basket
- Objects chosen by you according to the age of your child: tea ball with its chain, pine cone, small glass jar with seeds, brush, rubber spoon, metal spoon, sponge, etc.
Steps :
- Build the basket and place it on the playmat
- Watch your child examine each object, touch it, understand the different textures, perceive the contrasts!
- From 18 months, you can offer him or her mystery bags, in which you will slip objects that your child will have to recognize by touching only, either by guessing the shape or the material that forms them!
Be careful, the details given to your child when describing the activity are as important as the activity itself, this is how your child can conceive and materialize his or her thoughts.
